Most small venues post in bursts, then go quiet for a month. The algorithm — and your customers — forget you. Consistency beats perfection. Here's a routine you can actually keep.
Once a week, 30 minutes
Block the same half-hour each week. Treat it like a prep task, not a creative project.
- 10 minutes — capture. Take five honest photos during a normal shift: the room, a dish, a hand pulling a shot, the team mid-service. Real beats staged.
- 10 minutes — write. Three short captions. One about something new, one about the people, one useful tip your customers would actually care about.
- 10 minutes — schedule. Queue them across the week. Reply to any comments and DMs while you're in there.
Two rules
Show people, not just product. Faces and moments travel further than another flat-lay of a latte.
Keep the voice yours. Write like you talk to a regular. The polish of a big brand isn't the goal — being real and present is.
Do this for eight weeks and you'll have a feed that looks alive, a habit that sticks, and a venue people remember. If you'd rather hand it off, that's where partners come in.
